Xscape 2011 Conference Educational Highlights:

The Impact of Empowered Health Consumers
Renowned researcher and speaker, Susannah Fox, Associate Director of Digital Strategy at the Pew Internet & American Life Project, will open our event with her Keynote presentation on the evolving digital healthcare consumer. Where the worlds of health care and online information meet, Susannah Fox is studying change and will open our minds with her insights of how today's online trends are affecting the practice of care.

WORKSHOP: Winning through Mediation
Victoria Pynchon joined us in 2009 to and presented on the fundamentals of mediation. By popular demand she is returning to Xscape 2010 to take a deeper dive into the essential skills of negotiation and conflict resolution. Bringing us enlightenment in all aspects of our lives, this prolific author and speaker shares pearls of wisdom such as: "I will remember that each of my fellows is struggling with burdens that, if known, would cause me to respond to them with far greater kindness." and "It is usually better to be happy than to be right".

Understanding the Chemistry Within
Kathryn R. Simpson, M.S., a former executive in the biotech industry, is the founder of the Hormone Research Center. Driven by a life-destroying diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, this healthcare professional, wife and mother began a relentless search for healing and medication alternatives. Her discoveries have led her to change the way she thinks about healthcare, drugs, medical tests and nutrition. She has counseled thousands of women through her books, lectures and health clinic on how to recognize symptoms of hormone imbalance and nutritional needs. Kathy's advice and clinical insights have guided pre- and post-menopausal patients to discover better ways to manage their health. As an Xscape attendee, you are encouraged to bring their own recent test results on the following lab work, and receive insights from Kathy that even your physician may not have.
