This year presents us with an opportunity and a challenge, to use the website, Facebook and Twitter to stay in touch with each other and find networking opportunities throughout the year at conferences such as HIMSS, and in other locations where our paths cross. Unfortunately, we will not have the advantage of getting together at the Xscape. Simply put, there were not enough registrations for the retreat, so the Board decided, after a significant effort to recruit attendees, to cancel it.
The good news is that the Board, as we made our calls found that the interest in X2HN remains high and we believe we have the opportunity to go back to the networking that has made this such a strong organization. Plus, we now have great tools to stay in touch and schedule lunches, coffee, drinks or dinners with other X2’ers when our travels take us to their home bases or to meetings where we know we will see each other.
